Form I-9

Simplify I-9 Form

The I-9 form needs to be simplified. I really believe that Section 2 should not be mandated if the employer is using E-Verify. Most of the information in Section 2 is entered online and what is not entered (ex. Drivers License number) could be added. An E-signature could be added for certification and attestation that documents were examined and appeared to be genuine...the print out of the employment authorized page ...more »

Enrollment and Getting Started

NEW EMPLOYER ACCOUNT PENDING FOR WEEKS

Is it normal for a new employer account to be in the pending state for weeks and months? There are no options on the phone number for customer support to check to see if an employer has an existing account and I can't get a response when I submit my issue to the email address either so I am BEYOND frustrated. I am so very glad we don't have federal contracts. PLEASE HELP or point me in the direction to get help. If I ...more »

E-Verify Website

Add test system same as production with an E-Verify simulator

Today, the Staging and the Production systems may not have identical code running because new code is tested on Staging. I suggest adding a Test system that is identical to Production except that is uses an E-Verify Simulator. This would allow it to be used 24/7 and would not require ...more »

E-Verify Training and Guidance

Update manuals to be consistent with the modernization updates

The E-Verify user manual and most others have not been updated for the modernization updates. The manuals must be consistent with the product to be useful. No updates to E-Verify should be released without updated documentation being published at the same time.

E-Verify Website

Why Upload Documents Before a Case is Created?

The E-Verify GUI requires the user to upload scanned copies (front and back) of the employee's document before even creating a case. The only time E-Verify even needs the documents is if a) an initial status of DHS TNC is returned, AND b) the employee decides to contest the case results. This approach assumes that the person entering the information into E-Verify has a scanner and knows how to use it. It also increases ...more »
