Why is my A&P not accepted as a form of ID when it has all the info that is required and is given to me by (pay attention & put down the crayons) THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION? Did you see that and understand (FEDERAL & THE DOT). I swear to god people need to use common sense.
If you completed Form I-9 electronically using an electronic signature, the signatories (the employee and the employer/representative) need to acknowledge that they read the attestation and attach the electronic signature to an electronically completed Form I-9....What is your meaning of the "attestation"? What is the best way to ensure that this is the correct acknowledgement for each party that is involved in this... more »
No need to change anything
Is there anyway that can do paperless form I-9 and can update with DHS or Immigrant department at the same time that works with SSN authuority for secure and privacy
The I-9 form needs to be simplified. I really believe that Section 2 should not be mandated if the employer is using E-Verify. Most of the information in Section 2 is entered online and what is not entered (ex. Drivers License number) could be added. An E-signature could be added for certification and attestation that documents were examined and appeared to be genuine...the print out of the employment authorized page... more »
I am just accepting a new job, but the I-9 website is impossible to do this online, or at least find where you do it? Ive done this before with prior positions and it was easy!
When I use the fillable PDF version of the form, I often save the document on my computer and go back to it. Although I save the document with all of the information on the form, when I re-open it, the Driver's License information (specifically the first line where I select "driver's license from a state or territory" from the drop-down list) just disappears as if I never saved it! I've tried using different browsers...There... more »
If you live in Texas and select that State constantly then it should automatically convert back to the State you use the most. Or if you type in a T it should go straight to the T's without having to scroll all the way down every time.
how do you enroll employees without forms from the lates 80 and the early 90s. How do you handle the hired date
Would be wonderful if you could add REAL ID to list of acceptable List A documents since you have to provide all of these documents to receive it from DMV anyway.
Please can the Lists of Acceptable Documents be updated to include something such as, "If presenting a List B document to an employer that participates in E-Verify, the List B document must contain a photograph". In addition, the area that reads, "For persons under age 18 who are unable to present a document listed above" to reiterate in this area that an E-Verify employer can only see List B documents that contain a... more »
We have an I-9 on our website with our employer information entered. For various reasons, sometimes employees print a blank form from USCIS instead to complete and bring in. The employer address is split up so that a single company name and address stamp can no longer be used to stamp the form. The information needs to be hand-written into the boxes. It would be nice to have this changed so we can order a stamp to... more »
For E-Verify Employers, the Lists of Acceptable Documents page does not indicate that List B documents must have a picture! So, when someone presents their voters reg card (from List B) and we can't accept it because it doesn't have a picture, employees get upset. Yes, it's buried in the 15 or so pages of instructions somewhere that these docs need to have pics, but, really, something could easily be added to the page... more »
To help employers and promote consistency in the completion of Form I-9, the USCIS lists of suggested/preferred document titles and issuing authorities should be listed on I-9 Central. This would be a big help suppliers of electronic systems and their customers as well as E-Verify M&C, ICE, and IER.
I have the Adobe Acrobat Reader app on my iPad, with DC subscription to Document Cloud. I have followed the instructions to save the I-9 (enhanced version) to the Document Cloud, and then go into the app to open the I-9. However, it will not open (it tells me I need Acrobat Reader, which I already have and am using with all updates complete). I can open the enhanced I-9 on my Mac, but I cannot open it on my iPad. Has... more »
