I STILL HAVE SEEN MAY CASES CLEAR E-VERIFY WHEN THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE. PROCESS NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED BY VERIFYING DRIVERS LICENSE/ID INFO WITH THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMIN AND ALSO DRIVERS LICENSE PHOTO VERIFICATION ON ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD BE MANDATORY.
E-Verify should automate the TNC notification process to eliminate the manual steps. 100% of my TNC's resolve successfully - often within a few hours. It takes me longer to reachout to the employee, explain what's happened and provide the necessary documents. I suggest that when a TNC is created in E-Verify, the system should email the employee with the appropriate information and next steps with a 'cc' to the employer ...more »
My E-Verify was marked as late even though it was submitted within 3 days because the E-Verify System time is based on a different time zone then my location (and even the E-Verify clock on the website said 6/9 while the submission date indicated 6/10. The date for timelienss should be based on the timezone the E-Verify is submitted in.
Instead of having to enter the date always as mm/dd/yyyy format manually, it would be helpful to have several options: drop-downs, an option to enter it in the numbers format, AND a little calendar where you can easily click on the date you want, while also being able to type in the date in m/d/yy or mm/d/yy or variations of that without putting 0s in front of everything and typing out the entire 4-digit year, and having ...more »
An employee's visa is not a valid form of work authorization per the Form I-9 Lists of Acceptable Documents, and overdocumentation is considered to be discriminatory. Therefore, why is visa number requested for E-Verify?
Since it is likely that the employer will terminate an employee that receives a Final Nonconfirmation, it would seem to be better to model the FNC process after the TNC referral process. The FNC employment authorized email notice states that the employee is employment authorized, but that the employer MAY rehire the employee suggesting that the employer may choose to not rehire the employee even though the employee may ...more »
When employees select "Alien authorized to work" and provide their I-94 number in Section 1, they still have the ability to use an EAD Card (List A). When entering the E-Verify case, the system forces you to enter the A/USCIS # and does not have the option to enter the I-94 number. This seems inconsistent.
We have many employees whose primary language is not English, and they are often confused because the headings for the TNC information are under the information described (name appears ABOVE "Employee's Last Name, First Name"). They are also confused by A-Number when it is left blank (because they don't have one)--is it possible to add "not applicable" instead of leaving it blank?
It is my understanding that E-Verify is trying to reduce the window in which employers can run compliant E-Verify queries, so why is the option to enter (usually accidentally) employment start dates over a year(!) in advance of the actual start date? Twice today, I have tried to enter 2016, only to accidentally select 2017, meaning I have to mark the case as invalid and re-enter a new query. If I enter 2015 on accident, ...more »
We are an E-verify employer agent and I recently learned that the Case Resolution team can only see our contact information, and cannot see our client companies points of contact to be able to speak to them about specific case issues. We ensure the points of contact are up to date for our client companies, but if the Case resolution team cannot see them it slows case resolutions since they have to contact us first to ...more »
Regarding the What's New item: All E-Verify Cases Must Reach A Final Case Result and Be Closed 1. E-Verify will transfer all case data to a new interface later this month. Q: E-Verify should tell customers (users and agents) what is happening, when it is happening, and why it is happening 2. Open cases that have not been accessed for more than 365 days will be closed by E-Verify, but will remain accessible to employers ...more »
Our (very large) company has its own automated system of tracking expiring work authorization documents, therefore the Work Authorization Docs Expiring alerts is not needed and, in fact, is a lot of extra work for us to have to either 1. sit and manually dismiss EVERY - SINGLE - ALERT one at a time or 2. ignore them completely and have a list of literally THOUSANDS of alerts piling up every day. There should be a way ...more »
